The Lazy Lion: A Delectable Dining Experience in Deerfield, NH

My bf and I went here on a whim- we were in the area last weekend and I just did a quick search in the car of nearby restaurants. We sat at the bar, were greeted and quickly given menus. The bartender was a sweetheart. Attentive but not so much you're trying to talk while stuffing your face. Drinks were great- I got some sort of passionfruit mixy. BF got the dry rub tenders app as his meal. I got the buff chx sandwich w/ sweet fries. They accidentally gave me regular fries which worked out actually, then my bf could have them w his meal :-) He said the tenders had a nice spice but not too hot. The sandwich was SO good- buff chx fried with slaw and jalapenos. I GOBBLED the whole thing. I absolutely loved the warm atmosphere in this place- plenty to look and giggle at while waiting for your meal. Love the touch of the news paper under the fries too. We don't really go to that area, but will be headed back if we do for SURE!

We brought my mother in law to the Lazy Lion for her birthday and we are so pleased!!! The food was delicious and service was great !!

Freddie is an absolutely amazing cook! We absolutely love it when he is working! He not only puts passion into cooking, but it's favorable when he cooks! We have been to breakfast every Sunday since they started it. And one day he wasn't there. It was awful! So now we call before going to make sure he will be there. Definitely check to make sure Freddie is working before going to eat there. You won't regret it!

My husband and I live near the Lion but haven’t been there for a while. What a great dinner we both had! He had fish tacos. We order those frequently when eating out and these were the best ever! I had one of their special burgers which was cooked perfectly (medium). And the shoestring French fries were delicious! Excellent waitress - kind and efficient. I heard they will be revamping the menu. The fish tacos were a new item. Best meal at the Lion we’ve ever enjoyed! We definitely be going there more often!

Great atmosphere, friendly waitstaff. Food was excellent. Ordered off the dinner menu. Steak tips were kick a..!

Driving by I stopped in for a sandwich and found a great selection of salads, appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. I ordered the vegetarian burger with blue cheese and fries. Delicious! Fun atmosphere and friendly service. Definitely will visit again!

Been by a hundred times and FINALLY STOPPED! Greeted very nicely as we sat at the bar for drinks and dinner. The place was very busy and had a single guitar musician playing just the right songs (with his own flair!) @ just the right volume! Danielle was our server and didn't miss a beat. All the right answers from the well and the menu. Serving sizes are plentiful...look at the pics. Cauliflower Bites started this of right...not to much batter and very tasty...try the Chipotle Ranch dip for some added zing. Cottage Pie & Mommas Meatloaf are local favorites and after tasting these dishes we can see why...homemade brown gravy is very flavorful...the mix of meats, spices and sides make these plates tops...try it for sure. Had to top the meal off with desserts...Red Velvet Cheesecake is a WINNER. HERES IS WHY ONLY 4 STARS...Chocolate Cake was only marginally good BUT it came served on a paper plate...everything up to that point was 5 star...when I mentioned this to the owner I got a side sour face...sorry you tripped at the goal line. Please try this restaurant it is awesome we will be back for sure. Everything we saw come out of the kitchen looked great and by the way people were acting they loved it all as well...just not having paper plate desserts...Q!
